Deepfake Used to Attack Activist Couple Shows New Disinformation Frontier

Oliver Taylor, believed to be a student at the University of Birmingham, accused London-based activist Mazen Masri and his wife to be “terrorist sympathisers.” Investigations into Taylor’s profile photo revealed him to be a deepfake.
